Welcome to Aldersbrook Lawn Tennis Club...... COME AND JOIN US!

Aldersbrook Lawn Tennis Club is situated in East London, at the top of Wanstead Flats. It is in walking distance of both Wanstead and Leytonstone Tube Stations on the Central Line and Forest Gate rail station. A number of bus routes also pass the club. There is parking within the club grounds and on the street outside. The diverse membership are drawn from a large area of London & Essex (Bushwood, East Ham, Forest Gate, Hackney, Ilford, Leyton, Leytonstone, Redbridge, Stratford, Wanstead, and Woodford).

Last year, in 2004, the club celebrated it's centenary year! And to help celebrate this achievement we even had Glen Hoddle spend the day with us. This celebration of 100 Years at ALTC was an amazing experience for everyone at the club!

Facilities

We have six tennis courts and a practice wall available for members, three Fast-Dri American clay (the only ones in Essex) courts and three floodlit Macadam All-Weather courts.

Membership

Adults
The club has an active tennis playing membership. Club nights take place on Tuesday’s for Intermediate and above and Thursday’s for beginners from around 6:30pm. Come down with your completed membership form and join in with the club members for a social game of doubles. We also have a number of teams playing in the local leagues. There is an annual club tournament and a singles league. Throughout the year there are a number of other Open tournaments organised. The club also has a busy social section which runs a number of events throughout the year (quiz nights, discos, live music). Adult membership also entitles you to be entered into the draw for Wimbledon tickets. Download membership form here...
Juniors
The club encourages junior members through an extensive range of coaching options. During term time there are after school group lessons as well as Active8’s and Quadsquads and 1-2-1 lessons. During the school holidays we run tennis camps every morning from Monday to Friday. There are also a number of special events each season especially for juniors and some that involve the whole family.
